Environment and Sustainability Common Interest Community

Students planting together.

Go green! Students in this Common Interest Community (CIC) engage with each other to improve the world around them. It offers sophomores, juniors and seniors the opportunity to live together in a specifically designated area of one of the College’s existing residence halls.

As a member of the Environmental & Sustainability CIC, you’ll collaborate with a number of groups, including:

  • Campus Sustainability Committee
  • Center for Urban Resilience and Environmental Sustainability (CURES)
  • Rooftop Garden project
  • Green Club

You’ll also participate in various Catholic Relief Services initiatives. Off campus, you’ll visit the Riverkeeper, the Nature Conservancy and the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, among other locations.

How to Join

This CIC is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors. For more information and questions, contact Residence Life at residencelife@manhattan.edu.
