AICPA Competition

The American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) is the world's largest member association representing the accounting profession, with more than 412,000 members in 144 countries. Each year, the Institute sponsors a case competition for undergraduate accounting students, and the winning team takes home $10,000. The topics differ each year, and in the past have included problem-solving in:

  • managerial accounting
  • personal financial planning
  • the deficit, income tax and social security
  • fraud and forensics
  • sustainability

How to Join

The AICPA competition takes place during the fall semester. Students interested in forming a team should reach out to the Accounting Department for more information and guidelines to apply.
