De La Salle Medal Dinner

Alumni and Friends Will Gather for a Rescheduled 2021 De La Salle Dinner

lynn martinFor more than 70 years, Manhattan’s most generous friends and alumni have assembled annually for the De La Salle Medal Dinner, a cherished celebration of the College’s Lasallian Catholic mission — and a major source of support for today’s hardworking young Jaspers.

This year, anticipation is high for an especially festive gathering. COVID-19 safety protocols required the College to reschedule our 2021 dinner. The gala event now will take place on October 13, 2021, at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.

In addition to providing vital funds for scholarships and other forms of student aid, the dinner also recognizes corporate leaders who exemplify the Lasallian values of excellence and service. This year’s honoree is Lynn Martin ’98, president of Fixed Income and Data Services at Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) and a Manhattan College trustee.

“I am always grateful to Manhattan for the education I received there,” says Lynn. “It was real-world focused, and the lessons I learned have stuck with me to this day.” She adds, “I’m also thrilled to have the opportunity to give something back to the institution that prepared me for the success I’ve achieved.”

Frederic V. Salerno ’65, lead director at ICE and a former Manhattan trustee, will serve as the 2021 dinner chair. “Manhattan College has been blessed over the years in having many accomplished alumni who have not only lived the value set they were taught but have continued to embrace and support the mission of Manhattan College,” he says. “Lynn Martin is a wonderful example of a graduate who embodies these principles. We are fortunate to have Lynn as this year’s honoree, as she is a great symbol of just who we are.”
