Robert Damato

Adjunct, School of Continuing & Professional Studies

Robert has been an adjunct faculty member of Manhattan College for 16 years, starting in 2002. He designed and taught Marketing for Business in the Adult Degree Completion Program from 2002 to 2008.

In 2008, he was asked to design and teach a course for Conflict Management. Robert has extensive experience in the field of Conflict Management, having created a department for a major utility in New York. He oversaw a team of Conflict Management professionals, designed and taught classes, and mediated over 200 cases of workplace conflict.

He currently teaches Conflict Management in Complex Adaptive Systems in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies. Robert's class is helpful to students preparing to becoming leaders in the business world, as it helps them understand what conflict is and does in themselves and others and also offers students practical on-hands knowledge of mediation techniques for the workplace.

    Robert is Treasuer of the QSIDE Federal Credit Union Board of Directors, 2010 - Present.

    Robert is an active member in his church, Holy Spirit where he is a Lector and member of the church choir.

    Robert is also an active member of two community theater groups: New Hyde Park Players and St. Brigid's Players, where he has performed leads for musicals.
