Br. Robert is a graduate of Manhattan College. During his time at Manhattan, Br. Robert received a Fullbright Memorial Scholarship to study the educational system in Japan. Following his graduation from Manhattan, Br. Robert taught mathematics and religion at several secondary schools. He also served as the assistant chaplain at the Aquinas Institute of Princeton University (1985-88).
Br. Robert returned to Manhattan College in 1988. During his tenure he has held several posts at the College including Campus Minister, Director of Campus Ministry and Vice President for Student Life. Br. Robert currently serves as the Residence Director for Jasper Hall and is an associate professor in the Religious Studies department.
In addition to his professional contributions at Manhattan College, Br. Robert has been involved in numerous activities to serve the College and the Lasallian mission.
- Elected delegate to the General Chapter meeting of the Brothers of the Christian Schools

- Served as a member of the District Council of the New York District of the Brothers of The Christian Schools
- Served as a member of the Middle States Evaluation team
- Lecturer at the Lasallian Leadership Institute
- Featured as a commentator for the NY1 television station discussing the Pope's visit to the United States
