Raúl Velázquez, M.B.A. is a native New Yorker who grew up in East Harlem. As a teenager, he capitalized on an opportunity to work on Wall Street, an industry that was quite new and foreign to him at the time. This experience sparked his fascination with capital markets and launched a successful career as a Wall Street professional with experience in both securities trading and investment banking.
After two decades on Wall Street, Velázquez sought out the opportunity to share with students how markets worked, and, to the extent possible, "demystify" the process. He’s been an adjunct instructor at Manhattan College since 2008 and values the collegial atmosphere Manhattan College exemplifies.
