Mohab El-Hakim

Associate Professor, Civil & Environmental Engineering

Mohab El-Hakim is an associate professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department. His primary research foci are highway engineering, pavement performance modeling, pavement management and sustainability, and life cycle analysis. Dr. El-Hakim is a professional engineer in Ontario with fifteen years of industrial and academic experience. He is an adjunct assistant professor in University of Waterloo. As a consultant, he worked on several infrastructure projects, some of which included airports, highways, and municipal roads. His technical background and project experience in infrastructure projects includes in-depth knowledge of the nondestructive and destructive testing of pavements, infrastructure condition surveys, and pavement investigations.
