Research
My research advances drinking water infrastructure analytics and infrastructure systems analytics, with a strong emphasis on premise plumbing (building) water systems, hydraulics and hydraulic transients, and drinking-water quality modeling. I study water infrastructure asset management and water distribution systems analysis, applying artificial intelligence and machine learning to better understand, predict, and improve the performance and resilience of civil infrastructure systems. In parallel, I explore innovative engineering education, with a focus on integrating emerging technologies and data-driven approaches to prepare the next generation of engineers.
