I have been teaching as an adjunct professor for nearly 17 consecutive years and have taught various undergraduate criminal justice and sociology courses at Mercy College, Westchester Community College, Lehman College and Manhattan College. I also have a second MA degree in Sociology from Fordham University with a concentrations in justice and criminology and race/ethnicity and for my MA in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, my specialization was criminal law and procedure.
My father has over 35 years of experience in academia including positions as teacher, principal, superintendent and college professor. I also have three sisters who are all teachers in the Bronx at the elementary and secondary level. You might say teaching is a passion which runs through my family.
I have also been a police officer for 21 years and have recently retired from the City of New Rochelle. I love being in the business of helping people and now there is nothing more satisfying and enjoyable for me than observing my students learn and do well. I love hearing after they graduate MC the fine accomplishments they have made.
