Frank Melia

Frank Melia is an educational leader who has prepared school leaders in urban, multicultural settings, and used strategic planning to restructure schools. He has created and implemented leadership mentoring programs, conducted international student exchange programs, and professional development institutes. He wrote and administered a $10.4 million grant which trained over 500 teachers to use tech applications that improved academic outcomes in 105 Bronx SINI and Corrective Action schools. Melia has created and implemented exam prep programs for educators taking state and national tests for credentials in Education, Counseling and health professions. He is a member of the NY Academy for Public Education.


Melia obtained his MA in Social Studies Education from City University of New York-Brooklyn College and his Ed.D. in Education from Fordham University.
