Deborah Greenblatt

Assistant Professor

Education

Deborah Greenblatt is a former Adjunct Lecturer at Hunter College and field supervisor at Teachers College.  Before starting in teacher education, Deborah was a public elementary school teacher in New York City and the surrounding area.  Deborah has a strong interest in social justice issues especially in relation to educational testing.  She hopes that her research will bring the voices of those not heard to educational policymakers.  Deborah's dissertation was on the "edTPA experience” for NYC elementary teacher candidates and their teacher educators.  Deborah is also dedicated to clinical preparation and finds her work with teacher candidates and cooperating teachers in the field the most important part of her job.  She is also an avid sports enthusiast, knitter, and animal lover (especially for her dog, Jem).
