    Dr. Chen has over 30 years of experience in developing computational methodologies and physical models for obtaining solutions to complex multi-physics problems in fluid dynamics, spray combustion, fuels,  aerothermodynamics, propulsion systems, aero-optics and lab-on-chip micro/nano fluidics.
