# Changes to Manhattan University Alumni Email Access

## Changes to Manhattan University Alumni Email Access

For many years, Manhattan University has proudly maintained alumni email accounts after graduation as a reflection of our commitment to lasting connections. However, evolving licensing policies from Google and Microsoft, rising operational costs and a heightened emphasis on cybersecurity have led our IT department to reevaluate this offering.

Starting with the Class of 2024, University email accounts will remain active for **18 months after graduation**. For example:

- **May 2025 graduates will have their accounts disabled in November 2026.**

**Alumni who graduated before May 2025 will see their accounts disabled by November 30, 2025.**

We understand that this change may be an inconvenience, and we want to assure you that it was not made lightly. Most universities now phase out alumni email access after graduation to protect personal data and reduce vulnerabilities. As much as we have valued offering lifetime accounts, this shift is ultimately about safeguarding your digital identity.
