Want to spend the semester in Rome? By participating in the Lasallian Universities Center for Education (LUCE) program, you will live in Italy at the Generalate, the international headquarters for the Christian Brothers Institute. This exciting opportunity, launched by Lasallian universities in the U.S., offers students a deeper understanding of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, the Christian Brothers, and the international Lasallian network. As a participant, you will live and study with students from Lasallian Catholic colleges and universities across the world.

Courses & Credits

All courses are offered in English and the program is designed to accommodate the curricular needs of a diverse array of student majors from Liberal Arts, Business, and more. Course offerings for Spring 2022 will be published in Fall 2021, but past editions of the program have offered coursework in Religious Studies, English, Art History, and Italian Language & Culture.

Housing

All students live in a single-person rooms right on the premises of the Generalate. Each room features a bed, desk, chair, and closet. There are additional shared common spaces for the program participants in close proximity to the classroom areas. Sheets and towels are provided to all and a meal plan at the Generalate dining facilities is included in the program fee.
