When the travel version of this course is able to be offered, the course description is as follows: Expand your knowledge of Sustainable Engineering in Mexico! Earn Engineering credit while taking class at the Universidad La Salle - Mexico with Mexican Lasallian peers. This course focuses on specific renewable energies and sustainable energy solutions, as well as a systems approach to sustainable energy solutions. Participants will visit cultural and historical sites and will have the chance to volunteer at a local community organization or project.

Courses & Credits

This program is open to all School of Engineering students.

  • ENGS 478: Sustainability Engineering (undergraduate level 3 credits)
    • Prerequisites: MATH 286; ENGS 205 (or equivalent)
  • ENGG 678: Sustainable Energy (graduate level; 3 credits)

Logistics

This Collaborative Remote International Learning course will bring together MC students and selected students from the Universidad La Salle of Mexico City to explore specific renewable energies, materials, and solutions.

When the travel version of this course is able to be offered, the course logistics are as follows: Participants on this program will travel with a group of Manhattan College students and an MC faculty member. Tuition, round-trip flights out of New York City, housing in shared rooms for the duration of the program, some meals, and international health insurance are included in the program fee.
