English as a Second Language (ESL)/Specialty Programs
Our two-week ESL specialty programs include 15 hours of classroom English language training and practice per week.
English language classes are taught by highly qualified and experienced ESL instructors. From business to performing arts, museums to photography, participants can delve deeper into their interests, while also improving their English language speaking skills.
- ESL + Finance/Business:
This program offers the opportunity to meet with business and financial experts, visit Wall Street and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and learn techniques that only insiders know about. - ESL + Photography:
With New York City as the ultimate backdrop, students will enhance their photography skills by learning the digital editing software they will use to create a portfolio. - ESL + Performing Arts:
Students will engage in master classes and discussions with professional Broadway actors, choreographers, and stage managers. - ESL + Museums:
Students will view exhibitions of historical, scientific, artistic, and cultural collections at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the American Museum of Natural History. - ESL + NYC Experience:
Students will visit the Empire State Building, Times Square, the Statue of Liberty and other iconic cityscapes in this program, which offer eye-catching views that make for an overall unforgettable experience.
Through these courses, you will improve your ability to speak English, while also enjoying spectacular experiences in New York City. Manhattan College's English Language/Specialty Programs will help you to combine English modalities, and improve other skills. Our two-week intensive programs contain sessions in English as a second language, and exposure to a diversity of areas such as: finance, performing arts, museums & history, and photography, as well as field trips to some of New York's most eye-catching views.

Housing Cost
Includes: breakfast & lunch, local public transportation (MTA subway and bus), on campus double room, hallway bathroom
