About Us

The Labor Studies Program draws from the expertise and experiences of faculty from across many different disciplines to offer students a comprehensive look at the nature and meaning of human work. Classes are small and collaborative. You will be encouraged to interact in lively discussion, share your insights and voice your opinions.

As a labor studies student, you will have many opportunities to connect with your professors and participate in cocurricular activities, and explore contemporary issues. On campus, we regularly host lunch forums, presentations from faculty and guest lecturers, panel discussions other events, and many courses include site visits to historical labor sites in New York City including Union Square, the Tenement Museum and Catholic Workers House.
