About Us

Our faculty members are scholars and practitioners, widely published on a variety of topics including technology in the classroom, curriculum development and assessment and optimizing classroom environments. Each one of us is dedicated to developing excellent teachers prepared to enrich the hearts and minds of future leaders.

Field work and other hands-on learning are vital to your experience as an education major. Field work begins during freshman or sophomore year with classroom observations, and culminates your final year with student teaching. As an education student, you will have the chance to practice your skills in a number of co-curricular opportunities. You can become a peer tutor for your fellow College students or serve as a mentor for local middle and high school students.

Meet an Education Major: Kevin Viviano

Outside of the classroom, adolescent education major Kevin Viviano is a member of Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society for education, and helps organize and run events that bring local children to campus.
