Advising

Here at Manhattan College, we believe a successful future is the product of an artfully customized education. With us it’s personal—we craft each students’ experience to meet their specific needs, offering more one-on-one contact and support than most other colleges.

  • Academic Advising

The School of Health Professions provides the service of an academic advisor, as well as faculty advisors. Not sure which major to choose? No problem. Your academic advisor will be able to:

    • Provide expert advice, tailored specifically for your goals.
    • Assist with major selection and course scheduling
    • Offer helpful advice on double majors, minors and any other program of study

Having a dedicated academic advisor will help you get the most out of the many opportunities available for you at the College, and help you feel in control of your education and the future.

Students in the Kinesiology and the Radiological and Health Professions departments have two advisors:

    • a department faculty advisor
    • a School of Health Professions academic advisor

Students work directly with their program directors for advising.

    • Mock Interviews
    • Job and Internship Board: JasperLink
    • Internships
    • Career Fairs
    • On-Campus Recruitment
    • Site Visits
    • Mentor Program

Each of Manhattan’s undergraduate schools has a dedicated career advisor who can help you choose a major, career path and job opportunities by connecting you to programs and resources available to you. Additionally, this department oversees the mentor program, which pairs students with alumni mentors, and the internship program, which offers the opportunity to gain real-world experience in their field of interest.
