About Us

The Counseling and Therapy Department is rooted in a wellness model, promoting health and well-being across the lifespan through the training of a variety of mental health professionals (School Counselors, Mental Health Counselors, and Marriage and Family Therapists).

Extensive fieldwork is a hallmark of our programs, providing our graduate students with practical, hands-on experiences at sites throughout the New York City and Westchester areas. Our dedicated faculty are leaders in their fields, and our small class sizes enable lively, thought-provoking discussions between faculty and students.

Our Degrees & Certificates

The counseling and therapy programs at Manhattan College are grounded in research and shaped by the needs of schools, community agencies, and colleges that require the services of professional counselors. Counselors-in-training develop the knowledge and skills to address these areas of development and enhance their ability to be empathic, caring human service providers.
