The M.A. in school counseling program is designed for those seeking initial school counseling certification, and prepares you for work in a variety of settings.

The advanced certificate program in mental health counseling is for those who already hold a master's degree in psychology or counseling and want to pursue the additional education required to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). A licensed Mental health counselor is trained to treat mental health, human relationship, education and career concerns within ethical, developmental, preventive and treatment contexts.

The advanced certificate in school counseling program is designed for students who have earned a master's degree in counseling making them eligible for provisional certification in New York State.

This extension allows anyone who is completing the M.A. in school counseling to gain New York State certification as a bilingual counselor. This certificate program prepares counselors, social workers or psychologists to specifically work with bilingual/multicultural students.
