Spend part of your summer in Mexico participating in an intensive cross-cultural counseling experience developed in partnership with La Salle University Mexico. Designed for students in the Counseling and Therapy program, this Manhattan University faculty-led program provides direct engagement with multicultural counseling practices within a global context.

Through structured learning and immersive field experiences, participants examine how cultural, social and institutional dynamics shape counseling approaches while applying theory to real-world practice.

## Courses and Credits

- EDUG 817: Cross Cultural Counseling / EDUG 859: Approaches to Multicultural Counseling: Theory and Practice, 3 credits

Students in the Counseling and Therapy program participate in the Mexico study abroad program in partnership with La Salle University Mexico. This week-long experiential learning opportunity satisfies the requirements for EDUG 817 and EDUG 859 and is open to students in school counseling, mental health counseling, and marriage and family therapy programs.

Through immersive experiences and structured academic engagement, students apply counseling theories within real-world multicultural contexts. Participants gain deeper insight into the cultural, social and professional dimensions of counseling practice in Mexico while developing skills applicable to diverse counseling environments.
