Designed for students in the Counseling and Therapy program, this Manhattan University faculty-led program provides direct engagement with multicultural counseling practices within a global context. Through structured learning and immersive field experiences, participants examine how cultural, social and institutional dynamics shape counseling approaches while applying theory to real-world practice. ## Dates Offered This is a summer program. ## Courses and Credits - EDUG 817: Cross Cultural Counseling / EDUG 859: Approaches to Multicultural Counseling: Theory and Practice, 3 credits Students in the Counseling and Therapy program participate in the Mexico study abroad program in partnership with La Salle University Mexico. This week-long experiential learning opportunity satisfies the requirements for EDUG 817 and EDUG 859 and is open to students in school counseling, mental health counseling, and marriage and family therapy programs. Through immersive experiences and structured academic engagement, students apply counseling theories within real-world multicultural contexts.
