The Mechanical Engineering M.S. requires a minimum of 30 credit hours of graduate coursework. You will expand on the fundamentals of the discipline and complete a required final research project, conducting an original investigation or design in an area you have studied. A maximum of four 500-level courses may be credited to the degree. Coursework culminates in a required research project, in which all students conduct an original investigation or design a machine or system they have studied.

You can customize your graduate program by selecting a specific concentration in one of the following areas. All concentrations require 12 graduate coursework credits, including the research component.
