##  What Sets Us Apart 

The Economics major at Manhattan University prepares students to analyze markets, evaluate policy, and apply quantitative methods to real economic problems. Students gain experience in **econometrics, monetary theory, international economics, and environmental and applied economics**, supported by a STEM-designated curriculum, three focused concentrations, and access to a state-of-the-art finance lab in New York City.

STEM-Designated Program

The Economics B.S. is recognized as a STEM program, qualifying international graduates for the 24-month OPT STEM extension and signaling the program's quantitative rigor.

 

 

Three Focused Concentrations

Choose Quantitative Economics, Applied Economics, or Environmental Economics to align coursework with graduate-school plans, industry interests, or policy work.

 

 

CFA-Recognized Double Major Path

The Economics and Finance double major is part of the CFA Institute University Recognition Program, with curriculum covering approximately 70 percent of the CFA Level I Body of Knowledge.

 

 

Bloomberg-Equipped Finance Lab

Students access 11 Bloomberg Terminals, a real-time stock ticker, Morningstar Direct, and live market data, providing hands-on experience with the same tools used by professional analysts.

 

 

College Fed Challenge Team

Compete in the Federal Reserve Bank's national academic competition, analyzing GDP, inflation, labor markets, and monetary policy and presenting forecasts to professional economists.
