Below are frequently asked questions about our Pre-College courses and activities. ### What are the Manhattan University Pre-College Courses? The Manhattan University Pre-College courses are a unique opportunity for high school students in grades 11 and 12 to explore academic interests, gain hands-on experience, and get a taste of college life during a two-week summer immersion experience on our New York City campus. These courses can be taken as an audit (non-credit) or for credit (3 undergraduate University credits). ### What can participants expect from the courses? Participants can expect to experience the intellectual and social demands of post-secondary education in subject areas required to succeed in university. They work with qualified and caring Manhattan University faculty and administrators, as well as alumni. The program is offered in person. ### What does the program schedule look like? Each course runs Monday through Thursday. The daily schedule includes classes from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. ### What are the accommodation and meal arrangements? Those staying on campus (residential add-on option: room and board only) have after-class activities to socialize with other national and international participants. Visits to New York City's iconic locations have an additional cost. Residential participants are also provided three meals a day at the on-campus cafeteria. ### Why choose Manhattan University for Pre-College? If the residential add-on is requested, the program includes after-class activities (at additional fees) at places like the American Museum of Natural History, Broadway musical shows, the Empire State Building, Ellis Island, the Intrepid Museum, the Statue of Liberty, and the 9/11 Memorial.
