# Youth Entrepreneurship Camp

# Youth Entrepreneurship Camp

Learning to run a business is an essential skill. During this three-week program, participants develop a business venture, starting with an idea and creating a company to sell a product.

Participants learn to identify a problem, define a target audience, assess their competition, design a logo, and brand their company. The program runs Monday through Thursday, with no class on Fridays, and serves students ages 15 to 17.

## Program Overview

In week one, we discuss ideas and decide on the product or service the venture will focus on. Participants develop their branding and logo, identify their target audience, and design a marketing strategy.

In week two, participants search for and secure suppliers with help from our sponsors, determine the price of their product, develop their minimum viable product (MVP), and draft the pitches that will introduce their product or service to an audience.

In week three, participants present their business's product or service and learn how to run their company after the program. On the last day of camp, participants introduce their project to an online and in-person audience and invite them to invest in their venture.

Each group meets with the instructor twice a day, working among themselves on specific tasks for the rest of the day. Participants also meet periodically with guest speakers from sponsor companies and other entrepreneurs.
