Manhattan University

School of Engineering

**The University That Built New York is engineering what comes next.**

For more than a century, Manhattan University engineers have designed and built the structures and systems that move New York City. Rooted in a liberal arts foundation and the Lasallian tradition, our students learn by solving real problems in professional-grade labs and graduate ready to lead in industry, research, and public service.

Our Faculty

Mentors, Researchers, and Working Engineers

Manhattan University engineering faculty are accomplished researchers and practicing professionals who teach in small classes where they know every student by name. They guide undergraduates through hands-on projects from the first year and partner with graduate students on funded research across disciplines. Their work spans sustainable energy, water and environmental systems, structural design, and emerging technologies. When you study here, you learn directly from the people advancing the field.

A Hands-on Discipline

Engineering for the Good of Others

Engineering is a hands-on discipline, and at Manhattan University career preparation begins freshman year. As Lasallians, our students use their skills to serve others: designing sustainable energy solutions, building water filtration systems for developing communities, creating devices that improve life for the elderly, and helping rebuild after natural disasters. They engineer the future by giving back to humanity and the world we share.
