Family Weekend

Families are invited to join us at Family Weekend for a fun-filled weekend at Manhattan College! No reservations or payment is required! 

Schedule of Events

Stop by our Welcome Desk for information on the weekend, how to stay in touch, and free gifts!  The Welcome Desk will be located at Founder's Bridge outside Thomas Hall during the following times:

  • Friday, 5 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, 8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Friday, October 18

4 p.m. Men's and Women's Swimming
Come watch the men's and women's swimming team vs. Fairfield! Swim meets take place at the Riverdale Country School, 5250 Fieldston Road, Riverdale, New York

8 p.m. Shakespeare’s Othello
The
 American Shakespeare Center will be performing in the round in Smith Auditorium. Refreshments provided.

Saturday, October 19

The Dean of Students' Civility Project presents: Women and Art
An exhibit celebrating the 40th anniversary of Manhattan College becoming a co-ed institution. On display all weekend in O'Malley Library.                 

9:30 a.m. Alumni Softball Game
Come watch the alumni face the current Jaspers in a friendly exhibition game!

10 a.m. Faculty Book Discussion
Hear from some of Manhattan’s most distinguished faculty as they discuss their most recent publications. Q&A and book signing to take place afterwards in Hayden 100. 

12 p.m. Lunch on Campus
Dine on us in Locke’s Loft, our newest cafeteria!

1 p.m. Women’s Soccer 
Manhattan College vs. Rider: Come cheer on our Jaspers at Gaelic Park!

1 p.m. Women's Volleyball and MC's own Pep Band!
Manhattan College vs. Saint Peter's: Come cheer on our Jaspers in Draddy Gym! 

1 p.m. Carnival
Enjoy all the sights and sounds of a carnival as it comes to our cozy campus! Rain site: Smith Auditorium

4 p.m. Fleetwood Mac Cover Band
Come listen to Tusk, the ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band on the Quad!

5 p.m. Family Recreation Time
Come to open recreation time in Draddy Gym! Shoot some hoops or show off your spike!

6 p.m. Dinner On Your Own
Dine on campus or in a local neighborhood restaurant.

8 p.m. Dueling Pianos Show
Come watch Dueling Pianos International perform in Smith Auditorium! 

Sunday, October 20

11 a.m. Family Eucharistic Celebration
This family mass is commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Vatican Council’s Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy in the Chapel of De La Salle.

12 p.m. The Metropolitan Museum of Art
Enjoy the largest art museum in the United States, with the most significant art collections. Roundtrip transportation provided. Meet at the main gate. 

1 p.m. Women’s Volleyball
Manhattan College vs. Rider: 
Come cheer on our Jaspers in Draddy Gym and see our amazing Pep Band!

3 p.m. Fall Honors Convocation
Fall Honors Convocation will be held in the Chapel of De La Salle. 
By invitation only.

Lodging

Siblings are allowed to stay with a Manhattan College resident student. Manhattan students should obtain a guest pass from the Residence Life office before their sibling arrives. We don't offer on-campus lodging for parents, but there are a number of hotels in the local area. See a list of local hotels.

Parking & Directions

Families can park for free all weekend in the Manhattan College parking garage. See directions to campus.
