Welcome to Manhattan College! We hope that Orientation gives you an insightful preview of your life at the College, and prepares you for the upcoming school year. We look forward to meeting each of you and sharing the knowledge that we have from our years at MC. We know that this is a new experience, so we will be here to guide you not only through the Orientation program, but throughout your first few semesters here. Why Did You Choose MC? I chose MC because of its location and the vibe that I got when I first stepped on campus; I just knew I would fit in. Now, MC has become my second home!
Favorite Thing to Do at MC: I love the people here! The tight-knit community on this campus is something you can't find anywhere else, and I've met friends that I will have for the rest of my life!

Why Did You Choose MC? I decided to transfer to Manhattan College because of the warm welcome that HEOP gave me. Plus, the location of the College was beneficial for me as a commuter.
Favorite Thing About MC: My favorite thing about Manhattan College has to be the close-knit community feeling it has.

Why Did You Choose MC? The reason why I chose Manhattan College was for the small class sizes. It has allowed me to create better relationships with my classmates and professors that I probably would not have had at a larger university.
Favorite Thing About MC: My favorite thing about Manhattan College is the people. Whenever I am walking around on campus I always see a familiar face or a different person to talk to.

Favorite Thing About MC: I love how small the school is. People are friendly, classes are comfortable and campus is just the right size.

Why Did You Choose MC? I chose MC because of the small classroom sizes that accompany the individualized attention from professors. The welcoming atmosphere is primarily what made me know I want to spend my time as an undergraduate here.
Favorite Thing About MC: My favorite thing about MC is the endless possibilities of being involved. There’s always some way to get out there and meet people. Make sure you get to see what’s on campus and get involved!

Why Did You Choose MC? I chose MC because I wanted to have the college experience, yet also be close enough to home. The campus is beautiful and it feels like I'm upstate when I'm only a train ride away from midtown Manhattan. I definitely do not regret choosing MC. It has been an amazing experience so far.
Favorite Thing About MC: I love how my classes aren't crowded, the library is open all day, every day, and there are many places to eat near campus. Overall I love how convenient MC is.

Why Did You Choose MC? I chose MC because of the campus life, as well as the city life at your fingertips with the 1 train right outside of campus.
Favorite Thing About MC: My favorite thing about MC is the closeness between everyone. Your teachers will know your name and be on a more personal level with you. Students easily make friends and you will always see those friends around campus.

Why Did You Choose MC? I chose Manhattan College because I wanted to continue my Lasallian education (I went to a Lasallian high school, so the familiarity of the values that are instilled feel like home). The energy of the students and staff of Manhattan College represent the energy and excitement of New York. I knew that taking risks would be necessary to finding success, and New York City is truly full of unique opportunities and experiences that we are blessed to be exposed to.
Favorite Thing About MC: My favorite part about Manhattan College is the community feeling that is present in every organization, club, event and interaction on campus. Everyone holds the door open for one another, and each professor wants to know their students. It is the proximity to the city, the safe haven that the Quad provides, and the support of the people that surround me that make Manhattan College my home.

Why Did You Choose MC? I chose MC because I liked the tight-knit campus. I also prefer having the smaller classroom sizes, which create a great work environment between your class and the professor.
Favorite Thing About MC: My favorite thing about MC is being able to have a campus life but also have direct access to the city. I like that MC has more than 60 clubs to get involved in and Student Activities plans tons of fun trips every month, so there is always something to do.

Why Did You Choose MC? It was close to home and close to the city, which I prefer.
Favorite Thing To Do at MC: I like how small and close-knit the campus and class sizes are. I think it’s important to get to know everyone and that everyone gets to know you so you're not just a “number.”

Why Did You Choose MC? I chose Manhattan College because of its proximity to home, its proximity to the city and the excellent School of Engineering.
Favorite Thing About MC: What I love about Manhattan College is its size. It’s small, so not only are there small class sizes (which gives you more face time and personal help with professors), but you get to know seemingly everybody on campus and you know that everybody is there for you if you need help.

Why Did You Choose MC? I chose Manhattan College for the location in New York City, the Lasallian values that MC promotes, and the opportunities for events and jobs.
Favorite Thing About MC: The ability to get many things done would have to be the best. Since the campus is so small, it is easy to go to class, eat, attend clubs, workout, and do homework all without wasting a lot of time by walking there. MC offers a lot of great events around the city. Therefore, whenever you finish studying, there is always a great event to attend.
