Rochel Gelman, Ph.D., co-director of the Center for Cognitive Science at Rutgers University and professor of psychology, will visit Manhattan College as part of the Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar program.

Manhattan College’s school of arts now offers an urban affairs major with a more concentrated focus on urban issues and no longer requires students to have a dual major.

Current or prospective sociology majors at Manhattan College now have even more course options than before with a new minor in cultural anthropology, and a concentration in immigration and global sociology.

Manhattan College will host a Fall Open House for college-bound students on Sunday, Oct. 24 starting at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of De La Salle with opening welcome remarks from Brennan O’Donnell, Ph.D., president of Manhattan.

Manhattan College’s office of campus ministry and social action will be sponsoring a book sale on Saturday, Oct. 9.
