NYC St. Patrick's Day parade

MC President and College Community Commemorate St. Patrick's Day
President Brennan O'Donnell, Ph.D., who was recently recognized as one of the top figures in education with an Irish heritage by the Irish Voice newspaper, was an honored speaker at the New York City's Society of Friendly Sons of St. Patrick Anniversary Dinner on March 16.

O'Donnell also marched alongside more than 1,000 members (including the Gaelic Society, Pipes and Drums, students, alumni, friends and family) of the Manhattan College community at New York City's 251st St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 17.

Tournées French Film Festival Comes to Manhattan, March 21-28
The College will sponsor the second annual Tournées French Film Festival from March 21-28. The festival will open with the film Potiche by François Ozon, followed by A Prophet by Jacques Audiard, Of Gods and Men by Xavier Beauvois, The Illusionist by Sylvain Chomet, and Certified Copy by Abbas Kiarostami.

Former Manhattan College track and field star Aliann Pompey opened her 2012 season with a first-place showing in the 400-meter dash in a meet at the New Balance Armory Track and Field Center in early March.
