Three Local New York State Senators Visit Manhattan College on April 19

On Thursday, April 19, the Manhattan College Latino Alumni Club (MCLAC) is hosting a rare event on campus featuring three local state senators.

On Thursday, April 19, the Manhattan College Latino Alumni Club (MCLAC) is hosting a rare event on campus featuring three local state senators. Alumnus Sen. José M. Serrano (D-Manhattan/Bronx) ’95 along with Gustavo Rivera (D,WF-Bronx) and Adriano Espaillat (D - Manhattan/Bronx) will discuss the new dynamics in Albany under Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s administration, as well as relevant issues in the Bronx.

Nearly 100 alumni and friends are expected to attend the event, which starts at 6:30 p.m. with a reception and concludes with a panel discussion.

The MCLAC is dedicated to supporting, mentoring and assisting prospective, current and alumni Latino students. Similar to the MCLAC’s mission to foster the Latino community at Manhattan College, the three senators visiting campus on April 19 strive to expand diversity throughout the Bronx.
