On Wednesday, Oct. 19, Robert Hammond, co-founder and executive director of Friends of the High Line, will be on campus to discuss his new book, High Line: The Inside Story of New York City's Park in the Sky. The event is sponsored by the urban affairs program, and will take place at 4 p.m. in Hayden 100.
Hammond was an early proponent to redevelop an abandoned elevated railway and worked to organize the Friends of the High Line, the organization responsible for the majority of funding, maintenance and continuing development of this unique public green space.
