Neighborhood Children Invited to Participate in Safe Halloween at Manhattan College

Education students coordinate fun activities and trick-or-treat stops around campus.

Local kids are invited to Manhattan College’s campus on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, to participate in Safe Halloween. Forty students from Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), the national education honor society, will host trick-or-treating and themed activities across campus from 4 to 6 p.m.

Kids are invited to come in costume as they travel around campus in small groups. Sweets are part of the treats, but children will also leave with books KDP has been collecting for the event.

KDP also sponsors two more kid-friendly events open to the public, including Winter Wonderland on Dec. 6 and a Dr. Seuss celebration on Feb. 28.

For more information about Safe Halloween, please contact KDP vice presidents of campus and community events, Erin Kelly at ekelly03.student@manhattan.edu or Anthony Lawlis at alawlis.student@manhattan.edu.
