Five members of the Manhattan men’s lacrosse team earned spots on the 2012 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Academic Team.

As of May 3, five members of the Manhattan men’s lacrosse team earned spots on the 2012 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Academic Team.

Senior Steve Harvey gained the honor for the third straight year, while junior Jon CreanPaul Moreau, as well as sophomores Mike Casson and William Gerard made the list.

Harvey will graduate this spring with a degree in secondary education and concluded his Jasper career as one of the top long poles during his tenure.

Crean, an accounting major, and Moreau, a civil engineering major, both emerged as offensive threats this season for Manhattan. Crean finished the year with four points including three goals while Moreau registered eight total points in his third year.

Both Casson (undecided), and Gerard (allied health) saw limited time in 2012 and look to further their roles next season in Riverdale.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
