Director of Residence Life
The Director of Residence Life is responsible for oversight of the Residence Life program. Currently, more than 2,000 students reside in five residence halls. The Director is responsible for the supervision, mentoring, and professional development of full-time and part-time Residence Life staff and has direct supervision and responsibility for the Assistant Director of Housing and Operations and 3 Assistant Directors/Area Coordinators. The Director has fiscal responsibility for significant capital and operating budgets. He/She also manages the residential dining program and has oversight of emergency situations, student conduct in residence halls, and the mediation of conflicts. The Director is an important leader in the Division of Student Life and is a standing member of several college-wide committees, including the Enrollment Management Committee and the Retention Committee.
Master’s Degree in Student Personnel, Administration, or related field is required. 5 years progressive administrative experience is required. Supervisory experience is required. Budgeting and forecasting skills are necessary.
