Director of Admissions for Graduate Programs and Continuing & Professional Studies

Reporting to the Vice President of Enrollment Management, the Director will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the enrollment process for prospective students seeking admission to Manhattan College’s graduate degree programs in the Schools of Business, Education and Health, Engineering and Science, as well as undergraduate and graduate degree programs in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies.

The director will work closely with departmental chairs, deans, and directors to facilitate the admissions and financial aid process for programs of study offered in Manhattan College’s graduate programs in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies.

Duties will include various types of external recruitment initiatives such as attending off campus graduate college fairs and meeting with prospective adult learners at college sponsored functions. The director will also assist in the development of strategies designed to attract qualified adult learners to consider study at Manhattan College.

Candidates should be willing to work evening and weekend hours throughout various times of the year to meet the needs of working students.

Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and effectively in a team-based environment.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal constituent groups.
Experience supervising and mentoring staff.
An understanding of standard financial aid policies and procedures specific to graduate students and adult learners
A master’s degree and 5-7 years of professional experience in a graduate admissions/continuing education operation. Prior experience in the recruitment of adult learners is highly preferred.
