STUDENTS - General Information
Ceremony
The ceremony is for all those candidates who have completed degree requirements for the Masters and Degree Completion Program.
The Commencement Ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the College’s Chapel of De La Salle and His Brothers. Immediately following the ceremony, you are invited to a post-Commencement reception for students and their guests, which will be held in Dante's Den.
DOORS WILL OPEN TO GUESTS AT 3:45 p.m. FOR THE CEREMONY, PLEASE HAVE YOUR TICKETS READY.
Assembly for Candidates for the Commencement Ceremony
Students will assemble in Smith Auditorium by school. All students are required to be in the appropriate area by 3:45 p.m., where you will be instructed to line up in alphabetical order by school.
Tickets
Masters Program
Further instructions, formal graduation announcements and 2 (two) guest tickets, will be distributed at the Student Financial Services Office from Monday, April 26 to May 26. The Student Financial Services Office (718) 862-7100, will be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. At that, time please be prepared to pay your graduation fee, if you have not already done so, and any other outstanding tuition balances. The Student Financial Services Office will remain open late on Wednesday, May 12 and two Thursdays, May 13 and May 20 until 7 p.m. If you have any questions about Commencement, please call the office of commencement and special events at (718) 862-7231.
Degree Completion Program
Further instructions, formal graduation announcements and 2 (two) guest tickets, will be distributed at the Degree Completion Office, RLC 204, beginning Monday, April 26, office hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For your convenience, the degree completion office will be open late on Thursday, May 13 until 7 p.m. If you have any questions about Commencement, please call the degree completion program office at (718) 862-7870.
Cap & Gown
Please order your cap and gown directly from the bookstore, located in the lower level of Leo Hall, either by stopping by or by calling them at (718) 862-7249 or 7784 as soon as possible. Caps and gowns may be picked up beginning Tuesday, April 20. Bookstore hours are Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. For your convenience, the bookstore will be open late on Wednesday, May 12 and two Thursdays, May 13 and May 20 until 7 p.m.
Diploma Information
You may pick up your diplomas between May 27 and June 28 at the Registrar's Office, Memorial Hall (718 862-7912).
Diplomas not picked up will be mailed to the graduates' current addresses.
Graduation Announcements
The College will issue press releases announcing each student's name and degree received. If you are graduating this year or a recipient of a special honor award but do not wish to have an announcement sent to your local paper, please call College Relations at (718) 862-7993 or e-mail: Lydia Gray at lydia.gray@manhattan.edu. Please provide your name and indicate whether you are an undergraduate, graduate or have completed the ADCP program. Please notify College Relations by May 21, 2010. Thank you.
