Alumni Society Board
Nick earned a B.S. with major concentrations in Finance, Global Business Studies and Computer Information Systems in 2008. Post graduation, Nick joined J.P. Morgan for four years and worked within the Investment Banking Real Estate Credit Group before moving to the Commerical Lending Group at TD Bank where his currently a Vice President. Outside of work and the Alumni Society, Nick serves as a board member for Manhattan's Mentor Program and is a mentor as well. In addition, Nick is a volunteer firefighter and Lieutenant with the Rockvill Centre Fire Department. During his free time, Nick enjoys rowing competitively, traveling, boating, and, above all, spending time with family and friends.
William is an attorney, certified public accountant and chartered financial analyst. He began his career with Price Waterhouse & Co. After graduating from Albany Law School in 1976, he joined a predecessor firm to UHY Advisors, LLC, an international accounting and financial consulting firm where he was a managing director of the Tax and Litigation Consulting divisions. He is presently a managing director of Spectrum Consulting Partners, LLC, a financial and economic consulting firm that he formed in 2005.
Robert majored in Electrical Engineering while at Manhattan College and received his JD from Pace University in 1998. He is a partner with the intellectual property law firm of Frommer Lawrence & Haug in New York City, where his practice involves litigation, due diligence, licensing, and client counseling. He lives in Westchester with his wife and two children.
Phil, a U.S. Navy veteran, earned a B.S. with a management concentration and spent six years after graduation in advertising with Coastal Film Service and Madison, Pollack & O’Hare as post production services and film editing manager. Phil also spent 10 years as an international management consultant/operations manager with a focus in financial services. The latter part of his career was as manager of consulting services at Merrill Lynch and as senior vice president of administration at Nikko Securities. Phil is still active as a career and change consultant with outplacement specialists at Lee Hecht Harrison.
Kelton graduated from Manhattan College with a degree in Physical Education and recently received a Masters degree from Lehman College in Recreation and Park Administration. Kelton currently works as a Physical Education teacher at Ethical Culture Fieldston School.
Mike majored in management and finance and is currently chairing the Gunn Medal Selection Committee.
After many years with Panasonic–Matsushita, Joe became vice president for College Advancement at Manhattan College and subsequently, director of Alumni Relations before retiring in 2007. He remains active in his local parish in Scotch Plains, NJ, where he lives with his wife Judy.
Matthew majored in mechanical engineering before attending Notre Dame Law School. He worked as a civil litigator at Ahmuty, Demers & McManus before accepting his current position as a complex director at AIG/Chartis handling construction defect, insurance coverage and severity matters in Complex Casualty Claims.
Bob majored in business administration and, following his time at Manhattan, received his J.D. from Fordham’s School of Law in 1961. Bob is an attorney and certified public accountant in the states of Georgia and New York. He is the founder, CEO and chairman of Ridgeview Institute Inc., a behavioral health hospital. Bob also founded and serves as chairman for Woodland Ridge Senior Living, Inc., an assisted living facility, and The Georgia Community Trust, a pooled income special needs trust. He resides in Atlanta with his wife Mary, is actively involved in St. Jude Catholic church and has five children and 11 grandchildren.
Terry is the former owner/president of Integrated Textile Resources, Inc., and currently works as an agent for New York Life Insurance Company. Terry has been married to his wife Carolyn since 1986 and together they have three children, Terence John (TJ), Sarah and Claire. Terry resides in Darien, Conn.
Damien is the current Alumni Society secretary. He graduated with a B.S. in psychology and a concentration in cognitive science. He went to Villanova University for his M.S. in cognitive psychology and now works at The College of New Rochelle in their Student Services division. He thoroughly enjoys swimming, yoga, origami and non-fiction science books.
Bill is retired from his career at Con Edison where he was a vice president. Bill and his wife Mary live in Spring Lake at the Jersey Shore and they have four children (the youngest of whom is a Jasper) and six grandchildren. He has been active as a volunteer and as a member of the Alumni Society board for many years and has hosted the annual Jersey Shore luncheon since its inception in 2008.
Ken majored in math and physics before becoming a lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force where he served until 1957 and, after time in the Reserves, was honorably discharged in 1965. Ken worked at AT&T for 46 years, holding several different positions including director of Broadcast Services and regional sales manager. During his time with AT&T, he attended the AT&T/Harvard Advanced Degree program and received a Master’s degree in management. Currently, Ken is the chairman of the Career Job Fair. Ken lives at the Jersey Shore with his wife Madeline.
A resident of Riverdale since 1972, Maria remains active and has been recognized for her community involvement as vice-chair of Bronx CB 8, board member and past chair of the Audit & Compliance Committee for Bon Secours/Schervier Nursing Home. Since 1985 she has been president of Khury Services in Riverdale, specializing in group travel and commercial insurance. She is also a business consultant. Maria was past corresponding secretary of the Alumni Society and founder/co-chair of MCLAC. She is engaged, and her greatest accomplishment is the success of her three children and the love of her grandbabies.
Lou majored in history and economics and received his J.D. from Hofstra University in 1982. He has maintained a solo law practice in Paramus, NJ, since 1989. Lou resides in Emerson, NJ, with his wife Jeanine ’81 and two children, Allison (verbally committed to MC) and Lauren. Lou served as mayor of Emerson from 2007 through 2010. He is a member of the Hall of Fame committee.
Jeanine majored in accounting and resides in Emerson, NJ, with her husband Lou ’79 and two children, Allison (verbally committed to MC) and Lauren. She works as the office manager of Lou's law practice in Paramus, NJ. Jeanine was also a Girl Scout leader for 15 years.
Peter graduated with a B.A. in English and government. After graduating from Manhattan College, he went on to obtain a law degree from Boston College Law School. He is currently an attorney practicing in New York.
Tom majored in secondary education with a concentration in mathematics. Has been an employee of Manhattan College since 2006 and is currently director of Alumni Relations. He is an avid bagpiper and is the leader of Manhattan’s Pipes & Drums.
Mike joined the governing body of the Alumni Society in 1956. He graduated from New York Law School in 1959 and was admitted to practice law in the state of New York in 1960. Mike served in the U.S. Army with the Second Armored Division in Baumholder, Germany. He dedicated 40 years of his career to the state of New York. His last assignment was the director of Court Operational Services for the Unified Court System of the State of New York. He has also served as a member of the board of trustees of Manhattan College. Eight members of his family graduated from Manhattan and his grandson John Michael is a student in the School of Business.
John is retired from the advertising agency business in New York City, where he spent most of his time at J. Walter Thompson Company. Scribner's published his book on advertising copywriting in 1976. He served as president of the Alumni Society in the mid-80s. Today, John and his wife Jeanne spend much of the year traveling.
Joaquin is the co-chair of the Manhattan College Latino Alumni Club. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's from Columbia University in industrial management. He is currently involved in marketing and business development with a focus on the booming U.S. Hispanic market, and is also a volunteer for Catholic Charities.Joaquin is married and has four children and five grandchildren, which keep him and his wife Ximena very busy and entertained. They reside in Queens.
Mark majored in civil engineering at the College and went on to receive an M.B.A. from New York University's Stern School of Business. He is a Corporate Development Manager at STV Group, Inc., a national A/E/CM firm, focused on the execution of strategic acquisitions, partnering, and public-private partnership initiatives. Prior to this role, he worked in the real estate and construction industry. Mark is a third generation Jasper and loves to be continually involved with the College.
George is a retired professor of history at Bergen Community College where he continues to teach as professor emeritus. He chaired and still serves as a member of Manhattan's Athletic Hall of Fame Committee. George regularly hosts the Bergen County Manhattan alumni dinners. He resides in Ridgewood, N.J. with his wife Anne.
Jim is a proud School of Arts graduate who worked in the retail industry for many years. He began his career in 1955 at Alexander's Department Stores as the ladies-wear merchandising manager. In 1978, Jim became the CEO of Filigree LTD., an affiliate of Dress Manufacturing Firms. He retired in 2000 and lives in New Rochelle with his wife Kathleen Cahill Smith. They have four children and 11 grandchildren. Jim has also been involved with "The Voice of the Faithful."
Pete majored in electrical engineering with a minor in nuclear engineering and later earned a management science master’s from the School of Business. He is the current chair of the Athletic Hall of Fame committee and also serves as an adjunct professor in the Civil Engineering master’s program.
John is the current student body president at Manhattan College. A second year resident assistant, John has lived in Jasper Hall all four years. He is an admissions tour guide and Manhattan College's 2011 ACE Scholar of the Year. John updates the Alumni Society on student life and concerns.
A native of New York City, Meg earned several degrees from Manhattan College, including her Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Master of Business Administration, and a Master of Civil Engineering. She has had a distinguished career in the communication industry with such firms as NYNEX and Bell Atlantic, and is now vice president of product delivery for Frontier Communications in Stamford, Conn. Meg is the current Alumni Society Board president.
