Scholarships & Financial Aid
There are a few scholarships specifically for undergraduate study abroad. You must apply a year in advance for some, so it is wise to plan ahead if you want to apply. There are some scholarships that don’t cover all your expenses, but can be useful to cover part of it. You should also check the government website for the country where you are studying. There are an increasing number of scholarships available to minority and on-traditional students.

Federal aid can be legally used for study abroad as long as the program you attend has been approved for credit by your home institution. State aid is similar. If you are already using financial aid at Manhattan College and you remain registered while participating in a study abroad program, that aid can be applied to your foreign studies. Consult the Student Financial Services offices for specifics on aid money when studying abroad.
