Physics

Program Overview

The physics curriculum presents a rigorous and challenging program with both theoretical and experimental components leading to mastery of mechanics, electromagnetism, optics, thermal physics, relativity and quantum theory. Up-to-date laboratories and small class sizes give students many hands-on learning opportunities.

The broad nature of physics prepares students to pursue a multitude of post-graduate career goals, including a variety of research positions, teaching and the opportunity to traverse into other scientific professions. Ultimately, a student with a degree in physics has the ability to excel in any scientific field of his or her choice.
