Information Technology Services
A wide variety of computing resources are available to Manhattan College students, faculty and staff via JasperNet, the College's campus-wide network. JasperNet deploys computing and information services to campus laboratories, classrooms, the library and offices, as well as to residence halls. Internet access is provided by a private metro-area fiber-optic network.
ITS facilities and services include:
- 15 computer labs with more than 450 computers across campus
- 24/7 computer lab available in the library
- Specialized labs featuring: CAD/CAM workstations, digital audio/video editing, graphic arts software, math/statistical packages (Maple, MathCad, MatLab, SPSS) and compilers (C++, Visual C++, Visual Basic, Visual J ++, Fortran)
- Wireless 802.11a/b/g/n network access available throughout campus including the library, all academic locations and common areas
- File sharing, printing services and shared access to software applications
- Network services include email, with Web access and laser printing in the laboratories
- Full Ethernet connectivity available for students in all of the College's residence halls
- Digital overhead projectors available in classrooms
