Careers Opportunities

One reason for choosing engineering as your major is the numerous possibilities it opens for a fulfilling and rewarding career.  Besides engineering, graduates go into business, law, medicine, and education.  In every case, the engineering education they received at Manhattan College has successfully prepared our graduates for the chosen career.

First year students can learn about a career in engineering through the Mentoring Program organized by the College with strong participation from engineering.  Students can learn more about the Mentor Program at the Center for Career Development.

Students also have opportunities to gain engineering experience through the College’s Internship Program. Manhattan College engineering alumni work in more than 800 companies and agencies around the world. These companies and agencies include: Accenture, AECOM, BGA Engineering, CBL Data Recovery Technologies, Central Hudson Gas and Electric, Con Edison, Department of Environmental Protection, Entergy Nuclear Northwest, FDNY, IBM, ITT Industries, Kraft Foods, Thornton Tomasetti, Turner Construction, and the U.S. Air Force to name a few.  The alumni, through the companies and agencies, provide an excellent connection between the academic world and professional practice.
