Weddings on Campus
The Chapel of De La Salle and His Brothers is available to Manhattan College employees and alumni for Catholic weddings during the period of mid-June through mid-August on a first-come, first-serve basis. Your selection will be reviewed to determine if the facilities are available. Requests for weddings are typically made a year in advance.
Campus Enhancements & Renovations
Manhattan College uses summer months and school breaks to schedule renovations, repair and enhancement projects, to our buildings and grounds on campus. When booking your wedding, these schedules for work and projects may not be known. While we cannot anticipate these projects in advance, we do want you to understand the potential exists that some work may impact buildings and grounds aesthetically. Be assured, we will do our best to minimize any inconveniences on you and your guests. We will notify you in advance of any projects, as soon as we learn of them.
You are responsible for arranging for the priest to perform your wedding, and he must be authorized to officiate within the Archdiocese of New York. Your priest is responsible for this arrangement with the Archdiocese.
Step 1: The priest you have arranged to officiate your wedding must reach out to our local parish, St. John's Roman Catholic Church, by emailing our local pastor, Fr. Kerrigan at firstname.lastname@example.org . Your priest's email to Fr. Kerrigan should include the names of the bride and groom and the date requested for the ceremony.
Step 2: Once Fr. Kerrigan replies back with confirmation, your priest is to forward that same email to email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org. It is your responsibility to instruct these necessary details to your priest, so that he can receive the reply confirmation from St. John's in a timely manner.
Upon receipt of this email confirmation, our office will be able to check availability of the Chapel of De La Salle. If the dates/times requested are open for both the rehearsal and wedding, you will be notified.
There is a non-refundable fee of $800 which covers the use of the Chapel only. There is an additional $200 fee for the sacristan to be paid in cash directly to him following the ceremony. The $800 fee is due once we confirm the dates are available for both the wedding and rehearsal. Payment should be submitted by check, made out to Manhattan College, and mailed to:
